MNRE subsidy refers to financial assistance provided by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India to promote the adoption of renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy. This subsidy is mainly offered for solar rooftop installations, solar pumps, and other renewable energy projects to reduce the upfront cost and encourage clean energy use.

The Thrissur Municipal Corporation manages the distribution of electricity to the residents and Commercial establishments through Thrissur Corporation Electricity Department(TCED).The distribution network covers about 12.65 Sq.km. Thrissur Corporation Electricity Department(TCED) is one of the ten electricity distribution licensees in the state of Kerala.The present TCED has 40000 plus consumer strength and the annual energy sale is about 162 MU. TCED has its own 110KV and 33 KV substations with 575 distribution transformers.
